About The Role
Join the team at Sapphires, our vibrant café and restaurant located within a premium retirement resort. As a Kitchen Hand, you will play an important role in supporting the smooth day-to-day operation of the kitchen, helping to deliver an exceptional dining experience for residents and their guests.
Working closely with the chef and hospitality team, you will assist with food preparation, dishwashing, stock handling, and maintaining a clean, safe, and organised kitchen environment. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who takes pride in creating a welcoming dining experience through high standards of cleanliness, teamwork, and service.
About You
You are a reliable and hardworking team player who enjoys working in a fast-paced hospitality environment. With a positive attitude and strong attention to detail, you take pride in maintaining a clean and organised workspace while supporting your colleagues to deliver outstanding service.
You Will Bring
Strong time management skills and the ability to work efficiently during busy service periods. Effective communication skills and a collaborative approach to teamwork. The ability to work independently and use initiative when completing tasks. A commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness, food safety, and hygiene. Previous experience in a kitchen, café, restaurant, or hospitality environment (desirable). Knowledge of the safe use of cleaning chemicals and kitchen equipment (desirable). Availability to work flexible hours, including occasional out-of-hours requirements.
Most importantly, you will share our passion for providing a positive dining experience for residents and their guests, helping make Sapphires a welcoming place to connect, dine, and enjoy.
