Childcare Aide Traineeship

Child Care Aide – Traineeships – Commencing January 2027 

Location: Clare, SA 

Statewide Apprenticeships is an independent, community-based not-for-profit organisation that has been servicing the employment and training needs of South Australian apprentices and trainees, business and industry for over 30 years. 

The Traineeship Fantastic full-time, part-time, or school-based traineeship opportunities exist with our valued Host Clare Valley Children’s Centre commencing in January 2027. This traineeship is 12 months full-time, adjusted for hours worked; longer-term will apply for part-time and school-based. Long-term opportunities for the right candidate. 

The successful candidate will complete Certificate 3 in Early Childhood Education and Care while gaining skills and experience on the job. 

People who live locally in the region are highly regarded and encouraged to apply. If you have already successfully completed Certificate 3 in Early Childhood Education and Care, please do not apply as you are not eligible. 

About you 

• Passionate about working with young children and able to work in a team environment. 

• Flexible to work rostered hours Monday to Friday ranging between 6.45 am – 6.00 pm. 

• Committed to study through online learning and face-to-face, with the ability to manage time to meet due dates. 

• Driver's licence or ability to make own arrangements to get to work in Clare and weekly training in Port Pirie during term if required. 

• Current RRHAN – Fundamentals & Masterclass Certificate – must provide prior to commencement. 

• Current DHS Working With Children Check – must provide prior to commencement. 

• Current First Aid Certificate is an advantage, or able to get prior to commencement. 

• Able to pass a drug & alcohol test. 

• Positive attitude with willingness to learn and follow instructions. 

• Committed, punctual and reliable at all times. 

• Must be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident to be eligible.
