About the Role

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Electronic Instrument Trades Worker to join our client, a highly regarded provider of industrial instrumentation and electrical solutions. Our client is known for delivering reliable, accurate and safe control systems across the resource, energy and infrastructure sectors. Key Responsibilities

• Perform detailed diagnostic testing on electronic instruments, control systems, and industrial machinery to identify faults and performance issues.
• Dismantle, adjust, and replace defective components, wiring, and circuit boards; then reassemble and test equipment to ensure full operational compliance.
• Commission and install new electronic instruments and control systems, applying expertise in electrical, electronic, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic principles.
• Monitor radio communications, interpret coded messages, and accurately transmit and receive voice traffic to support field operations and coordination.
• Advise operators and users on correct operating procedures and preventative maintenance practices to minimise downtime and equipment failure.
• Keep detailed records of repairs, calibrations, and system modifications, and prepare written reports and messages for transmission as required.

Skill & Experience

• Qualified Electronic Instrument Trades Worker with Special Class status or equivalent recognized trade qualification.
• Proven 1-year full-time work experience in installing, commissioning and maintaining electronic control and instrumentation systems.
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding ability, with a methodical approach to problem-solving.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to interpret technical codes and procedures.
• Ability to read electrical drawings, schematics and instrument manuals.
• Commitment to workplace safety and working effectively in both workshop and field environments.
• Relevant qualification to above field.
