Sonographer - Campbelltown

Requirements

• Post-Graduate Diploma in Medical Ultrasound
  
• Minimum 2000 hours of scanning experience
  
• ASAR accreditation with ongoing CPD
  
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
  
• Ability to stand for extended periods and manage the physical demands of scanning
  
• Proficiency in ultrasound equipment, RIS, PACS and basic computer systems
  
• High attention to detail with consistently accurate documentation
  
• Team-focused mindset and a commitment to exceptional patient care
  
• Reliable attendance and adherence to organisational policies and protocols
  
  

• Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations in line with clinical requests and accepted protocols
  
• Review prior imaging and verify patient details using a rigorous safety check process 
  
• Explain procedures clearly, obtain consent, and collect additional clinical history as needed
  
• Produce accurate, high-quality images using equipment from multiple vendors
  
• Adapt techniques to patient needs, clinical findings, and real-time results
  
• Complete worksheets thoroughly and ensure all documentation is neat, legible and accurate
  
• Upload images and documentation to PACS/RIS and escalate significant findings to Radiologists
  
• Maintain strict infection control, manual-handling and room disinfection procedures
  
• Contribute to efficient workflow by managing appointment times and unexpected patient additions
  
• Uphold patient confidentiality and professional communication at all times
  
• Participate in ongoing CPD, training, and team meetings
