Landscape Gardener

Located in North Rocks NSW 2151, GROW AND CONSTRUCT PTY LTD, trading as Urban Landscape Projects, is an award-winning landscape design and construction company specialising in creating high-quality outdoor environments for schools, childcare centres, educational facilities, and commercial projects throughout Greater Sydney. The business is currently seeking an experienced and dedicated Landscape Gardener to support the delivery of professional landscape construction and horticultural projects.

The right candidate will be responsible for:

• Preparing sites and soil for landscaping projects.
• Planting and establishing trees, shrubs, hedges, flowers, turf, and other landscape vegetation.
• Installing lawns, garden beds, mulch, irrigation components, and other soft landscape features.
• Assisting with the installation of hard landscape elements, including paving, edging, retaining walls, pathways, and garden structures.
• Maintaining landscaped areas through watering, pruning, fertilising, mulching, mowing, and weed control.
• Inspecting plants and landscaped areas to monitor health and identify maintenance requirements.
• Operating and maintaining landscaping tools, machinery, and equipment safely.
• Reading and following landscape plans and project specifications.
• Ensuring compliance with workplace health, safety, and environmental procedures.
• Working collaboratively with the project team to deliver landscaping projects to a high standard.

About You:

• At least 1 year of relevant experience as a Landscape Gardener or in a similar role.
• Sound knowledge of landscape construction, horticultural practices, and plant maintenance.
• Experience using landscaping machinery, power tools, and construction equipment safely.
• Ability to read and interpret basic landscape plans and project specifications.
• Good physical fitness and the ability to perform outdoor manual work.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Good organisational skills and knowledge of workplace health and safety requirements.

Job Type: Permanent / Full-time

Salary: AUD $70,000 – $90,000 per annum
