SENIOR SMSF & TAX ACCOUNTANT – SOUTHERN SYDNEY – 4 PARTNER CHARTERED ACCOUNTING FIRM (JOB ID 951)

This is a stable, well-structured practice known for its professional yet approachable culture, where senior accountants are trusted with autonomy, meaningful client work and direct access to Partners in day-to-day decision making. 

The Role: 

• Prepare SMSF financial statements and tax returns  

• Manage complex business and individual tax matters  

• Complete BAS, compliance work and advisory support  

• Review work prepared by junior accountants  

• Liaise with auditors, advisers and external stakeholders  

• Manage client relationships independently  

• Work closely with Partners on workflow and technical matters  

• Contribute to process improvement and team development  

About You: 

• 5+ years’ experience in Australian public practice  

• Strong hands-on SMSF compliance experience essential  

• Solid background in tax and business services  

• CA or CPA qualified (or near completion)  

• Confident managing clients independently  

• Strong technical and communication skills  

• Stable career history with a long-term mindset
