Clinical, Clinical Registrar or Registered Psychologist

About the role

The Glow Centre is a well-established private psychology practice in Kenmore, Brisbane, looking for an experienced Clinical Psychologist, Registrar or Registered Psychologist to join the team as an independent contractor. This is not a high-volume practice; the focus is on providing good therapy that takes time, thought and genuine clinical care. You will work primarily with adults and adolescents (14+), taking time to understand each client, develop an appropriate treatment approach and work towards meaningful, lasting progress. You may have a particular interest or experience in areas such as PTSD, OCD, Eating Disorders, or other complex presentations. The practice particularly values clinicians who have undertaken further training in evidence-based therapeutic approaches beyond standard first-line interventions, such as Schema Therapy, Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), EMDR, or other specialised treatment modalities.

Key responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, evidence-based psychological care to clients

• Undertake thorough assessment, case formulation and treatment planning

• Deliver specialised evidence-based psychological therapies as appropriate to client presentations

• Adapt or extend beyond first-line interventions where clinically indicated

• Maintain professional clinical documentation and responsibilities

• Build and maintain strong therapeutic relationships with clients

• Contribute positively to the practice reputation and team environment

• Work with a caseload aligned with your clinical interests

About you

• Clinical Psychologist, Registrar or Registered Psychologist with current AHPRA registration

• Experience working independently with a broad range of presentations and comfortable managing the clinical responsibilities of private practice

• Genuine commitment to evidence-based psychological practice

• Thoughtful and individualised approach to assessment, case formulation and treatment planning

• Additional training and experience delivering specialised evidence-based psychological therapies, such as Schema Therapy, CPT, EMDR or other approaches relevant to your areas of clinical practice

• Warm, professional and able to build strong therapeutic relationships

• Reliable, organised and takes pride in clinical documentation and professional responsibilities

• Area of clinical interest or experience that complements the existing team, such as PTSD, OCD, Eating Disorders or related presentations

• Committed to ongoing professional development and maintaining high clinical standards
