As a specialist traffic and transport engineering consultancy, Traffix Group provides its people with the opportunity to work across a broad range of projects while being supported by experienced technical specialists across the wider business.
With the establishment of its South Australian operation, Traffix Group is seeking a Senior Traffic Engineer who wants to be part of the business from its early stages in Adelaide and grow alongside it.
You will take responsibility for delivering traffic and transport projects, managing client relationships and providing technical guidance to junior engineers. As the Adelaide team expands, there will be genuine opportunity to take on greater responsibility and progress towards Associate and leadership positions.
The Role
As Senior Traffic Engineer, you will combine technical project delivery, client engagement and mentoring, working closely with senior leaders across Traffix Group.
Your responsibilities will include:
Managing traffic and transport projects or workstreams from inception through to completionPreparing and reviewing traffic impact assessments, transport reports and construction traffic management plansUndertaking traffic modelling and data analysis using SIDRADeveloping road, intersection, parking and active transport designsUndertaking road safety, accessibility and traffic signal analysisPreparing fee proposals and supporting project scoping and resourcingManaging project scope, budgets, programmes, risks and competing prioritiesLiaising directly with clients, consultants, authorities and other project stakeholdersReviewing technical outputs and ensuring compliance with relevant standardsMentoring and supporting early-career engineers

This opportunity will suit an experienced Traffic Engineer ready to take greater ownership of projects while continuing to develop their technical and leadership capability.
You will ideally bring:
Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) or equivalentApproximately 5+ years' experience within traffic engineeringExperience across traffic assessments, modelling, design and technical reportingWorking knowledge of SIDRA, AutoCAD/MicroStation and AutoTurnStrong understanding of Austroads, Australian Standards and relevant planning requirementsStrong project management, problem-solving and analytical capabilityConfidence communicating with clients, authorities and multidisciplinary stakeholdersProfessional Engineering registration, or be working towards achieving and maintaining registration
