Join the Queensland Tissue Bank as an Operations and Logistics Team Lead, supervising critical logistics and operational services that support the recovery, production and distribution of donated human tissue to improve and save lives! Permanent full time opportunity!

About your role

This is a unique leadership opportunity to oversee the operational heart of Queensland Tissue Bank.

In this role you will:

• Lead and coordinate the daily operations of the Operations and Logistics team.
• Supervise Clinical Assistants across logistics, warehousing and distribution.
• Manage staff rosters, workload planning and leave coordination.
• Ensure the timely distribution of donated human tissue across Queensland and beyond.
• Oversee inventory management, equipment maintenance and consumable supply.
• Develop staff capability through training, mentoring and competency programs.
• Monitor operational performance and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
• Maintain compliance with GMP, legislation and tissue banking standards.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support donation, production and research activities.

About Queensland Tissue Bank 

Queensland Tissue Bank (QTB) is Queensland's sole facility for the provision of donated human tissues for therapeutic use. QTB performs all stages of tissue procurement including donor identification, screening and consent; and all stages of tissue preparation including retrieval, processing, storage, despatch, and quality management. Banked tissues include bone, skin, eye, and heart valves. Of the Australian states, Queensland has the largest tissue bank and provides therapeutic tissue products for both local and interstate use. QTB plays a part in informing both state and national policy on tissue banking.
