About the Role:

We’re looking for an experienced Sponsorship Sales Manager to join our Growth & Partnerships team and drive commercial growth across Experience Gold Coast. This is a revenue-focused role responsible for identifying, developing and securing high-value sponsorship partnerships.

Reporting to the Sponsorship Director, you’ll build and manage a strong sponsorship pipeline, develop compelling proposals, lead commercial negotiations and build relationships with senior decision-makers across Southeast Queensland and selected national markets.

What You’ll Do:

• Identify, develop and secure new sponsorship opportunities through proactive business development, networking, referrals and existing relationships.
• Build and manage a strong sponsorship pipeline, achieving agreed revenue targets and maintaining accurate forecasts.
• Develop compelling sponsorship proposals and presentations aligned to partner objectives and Experience Gold Coast’s events, campaigns and programs.
• Lead sponsor meetings, presentations, negotiations and agreements through to close.
• Build strong relationships with senior decision-makers, businesses, government and industry stakeholders.
• Collaborate across Experience Gold Coast to identify and deliver commercial partnership opportunities and sponsor outcomes.
• Monitor market trends and sponsorship opportunities while supporting sponsor activations, hospitality and relationship-building initiatives.

What You’ll Bring:

• 8+ years’ experience in sponsorship sales, partnership development or commercial business development, ideally within tourism, events, sport, entertainment, arts or a similar industry.
• Proven track record of securing high-value sponsorships and achieving or exceeding revenue targets.
• Strong commercial acumen with highly developed sales, negotiation and relationship management skills.
• Experience developing sponsorship proposals, packaging rights and benefits, negotiating agreements and managing partnerships through to delivery.
• Exceptional communication, presentation and stakeholder engagement skills, with confidence engaging senior decision-makers.
• Strong pipeline management, forecasting and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple opportunities and competing priorities.
• Advanced Microsoft Office, Canva and CRM/project management skills, including platforms such as Monday.com.
