Airport Attendant | FIFO | 2:1 | Various Sites

About the role

Sodexo is currently looking for an experienced Airport Attendant to join our Airport Team. This is a fulltime FIFO position on a 2/1 roster and is a great opportunity for the right person with the right experience who excels in thinking outside the box to provide the highest level of service across the Airport on site. You will be working within a team that is responsible for the smooth running of the site Airport. This role will suit someone who is happy to be hands on and support the team on the ground, using their initiative and problem solving skills when challenges arise.

Key responsibilities

• Support the team on the ground with hands-on work

• Provide the highest level of service across the Airport

• Use initiative and problem solving skills when challenges arise

• Work on-site with teams on 11 hours per day on a 2:1 roster (two weeks at work and one week at home)

• Work effectively in remote and extreme environments

About you

• Australian Citizenship or unrestricted working rights

• Ability to pass a pre-employment medical, drug and alcohol screening, and police clearance

• Experience in baggage handling and/or airport ground operations

• Experience in airport ramp operations, aircraft marshalling, passenger services, or check-in (desirable)

• Previous FIFO experience in a similar aviation role (highly regarded)

• Strong understanding of aviation, workplace health and safety, and risk management principles

• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder engagement skills

• A strong customer service focus and the ability to work effectively in remote environments

• Aeronautical Aviation Radio Operators Certificate or Flight Radiotelephone Operators Licence

• Aircraft Ground Handling qualifications and experience covering F100, B737 and A320 aircraft types
