Why Your Role Matters:
The Content & Collections Librarian is responsible for the management and continuous improvement of the Academy Library's physical and digital collections as well as content services to support UNSW Canberra's learning, teaching and research needs. They handle everything from acquiring and cataloguing materials to maintaining collections and improving digital services like the Canberra library website. Responsibilities:
Working closely with UNSW Sydney Library’s Scholarly Collections & Access and the Digital Initiatives teams, the Content & Collections Librarian applies specialist library expertise to support collection development, resource acquisition, collection sustainability, content management and online services delivery.
The position provides expert advice, analysis and reporting on collection performance, resource utilisation, materials budget expenditure and emerging collection needs to inform decision-making and ensure the effective stewardship of the Academy Library’s resources. The role is responsible for coordinating library content across the UNSW Library's shared digital platforms and systems to support discoverability, accessibility and a positive client experience for UNSW Canberra library clients.
