At ESS, we deliver vital support services to some of Australia's largest resources and mining operations. We are currently seeking an experienced Airport Reporting Officer (ARO) to join our FIFO operations across remote Western Australia.

As an ARO, you will play a critical role in ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant airport operations while acting as a key point of contact between airlines, passengers, site leadership teams, and aviation stakeholders. You'll be responsible for supporting aircraft arrivals and departures, managing manifests, conducting aerodrome inspections, and maintaining the highest standards of aviation safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate aircraft arrivals and departures
• Conduct aerodrome inspections and airside safety checks
• Manage passenger manifests and flight documentation
• Assist with passenger boarding and disembarkation activities
• Monitor runway and airfield conditions
• Coordinate freight and baggage movements
• Maintain operational records, reports, and logs
• Communicate with flight crews, airlines, site management, and passengers
• Support emergency response procedures when required
• Ensure compliance with CASA regulations, site procedures, and ESS safety standards.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Previous experience as an Airport Reporting Officer, Aerodrome Reporting Officer, Ground Operations Officer, or similar aviation role
• Strong understanding of aviation safety and operational procedures
• Exceptional attention to detail and organisational skills
• Excellent communication and customer service abilities
• Experience working in FIFO, remote, mining, or regional environments highly regarded
• Ability to work autonomously and manage competing priorities
• Commitment to safety, compliance, and operational excellence
• Current driver's licence
• Ability to pass a pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol screening
