About the Role
As a Civil Leading Hand, you will work closely with Supervisors and Project Managers to coordinate daily site activities. You will lead by example, ensure works are completed safely and efficiently, and support the delivery of traffic, civil, and infrastructure projects across the Sunshine Coast.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and supervise a small civil and electrical crew on site
Coordinate daily tasks and allocate labour and plant
Ensure compliance with WHS, environmental, and quality requirements
Read and interpret plans, specifications, and work instructions
Liaise with supervisors, subcontractors, and traffic crews
Maintain site records including pre starts, SWMS, and daily reports
Promote a positive safety culture and high standard of workmanship
About You
Proven experience as a Leading Hand or Senior Civil Operator
Strong background in civil construction, ideally including roads and services
Previous leading hand experience in electrical pit and pipe installation is highly regarded.
Ability to lead crews and communicate clearly on site
Strong safety focus and understanding of WHS requirements
Relevant tickets such as plant, roller, excavator, or skid steer highly regarded
Current driver licence required
