Psychologists in private practice (Thornbury) $136-$163 per appt (plus super)

Northside Psychology consists of a team of dedicated, supportive and inclusive psychologists as well as a fantastic, on-site, full-time administration assistants.   

For over a decade, we have been fortunate to build up very strong relationships with local referral sources and the demand for our services has continued to grow.

We are aiming to add a psychologist(s) to our team who has the ability to work autonomously. However, we understand that in private practice it is important to feel connected to your colleagues and consequently, we prioritise regular supervision, peer support and social catch-ups.

Our focus is on providing an exceptional standard of care to our clients as well as providing a respectful, supportive and inclusive working environment for all of our colleagues. 

We allocate new referrals in relation to our Psychologists' areas of interest, preference and experience.  For example, working with children, adolescents and adults as well as specific psychological presentations.

We understand that as Psychologists, our own mental health and work-life balance needs to always be our priority. Consequently, your needs will be considered in relation to your case loads, working hours and leave requirements.

Affordable onsite individual supervision is offered to our Psychologists, including Psychologists completing the Clinical Registrar Program.  We also provide group/peer supervision.

Comprehensive onsite administration support:

• Client bookings and enquiries

• Tracking sessions and referrals

• Dealing with Medicare and billing issues

• Following up referrals and documentation

• Following up clients (rebooking, cancellation fees etc.) 

• Diary management and billing

Our practice is conveniently located on the Northcote/Thornbury border with onsite parking available and our practice is also easily accessible via public transport. We are also fortunate to be located in close proximity to all the fantastic cafes and amenities that High Street has to offer.

Applicants must be eligible to obtain a Medicare Provider Number in order to provide psychological services under Better Access.  Applicants must already be FULLY registered (not provisionally) with AHPRA (or have current eligibility to apply for FULL registration) and have their own professional indemnity insurance in place. Applicants must have the right to work in Australia as a registered Psychologist and also have a valid Police Check/Working with Children Check in place.
