Pastry Cook - Tasks and Dutiea

• Prepare and bake artisan pastries, cakes, buns and specialty baked goods in line with Skala Bakery production standards

• Check quality of raw materials and accurately weigh and measure ingredients

• Knead, laminate, mix, cut, mould and shape dough and pastry products using traditional artisan techniques

• Prepare pastry fillings, creams and glazes according to established recipes

• Monitor oven temperatures and product appearance to ensure consistent baking quality

• Glaze pastries and decorate cakes with cream, icing and finishing elements

• Operate and maintain bakery equipment including mixers, dough sheeters and ovens

• Maintain cleanliness of equipment and work areas in compliance with food safety and WHS

• requirements

Hospitality Worker - Tasks and Duties

• Provide friendly and professional customer service, including greeting customers and assisting with

• menu or product selections.

• Take and serve food and beverage orders, including coffee and other hot and cold drinks.

• Prepare basic beverages, operate coffee equipment, and maintain service areas and equipment.

• Clear and clean tables, counters, dishes, glasses, and customer service areas.

• Process payments using EFTPOS, cash registers, and point-of-sale systems.

• Replenish and display food, beverages, and retail products, including promotional items and specials.

• Maintain high standards of food hygiene, cleanliness, workplace health and safety, and relevant

• hospitality regulations.

• Assist team members during busy service periods to ensure efficient customer service

Cafe or Restaurant Manager - Tasks and Duties

• Manage the day-to-day operations

• Monitor sales, identify new sales and product opportunities, and track KPIs against our business

• objectives

• Manage staff rosters and maintain roster KPI

• Set and monitor budgets for payroll and purchasing

• Order products for sale from Skala wholesale and other suppliers

• Maintain product display, signage, uniform standards, and the overall presentation of the venue

• Maintain the premises in good order and repair

• Assist with recruiting, training, and manage the performance of new staff

• Delegate tasks, manage workflow, and run team meetings as needed

• Keep the Retail Operation Manager informed on staff discipline, morale, and customer feedback

• Record sales, expenses, and operational data as required

• Maintain the highest standards of food safety and personal hygiene, in line with Skala's food safety

• policies

• Maintain temperature and stock transfer records

• Monitor and maintain a safe workplace in line with WHS requirements

Qualification and Experience

• Minimum one year full time relevant experience in the field

• At least a relevant qualification or 2 years of rerlevant experience
