About the Role

As a Senior Accountant, you will manage a diverse client portfolio and provide high quality taxation, compliance and business advisory services. You will play a key role in supporting client outcomes, mentoring junior team members and contributing to the ongoing growth and professionalism of the firm.

 

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare financial statements, income tax returns and business activity statements for a diverse range of clients under appropriate supervision
• Support the delivery of taxation, compliance and business advisory engagements
• Maintain accurate client records and assist with meeting compliance deadlines
• Complete administrative requirements accurately and on time
• Build professional working relationships with colleagues and clients through responsive and professional communication
• Contribute positively to the team culture and workplace collaboration including day to day guidance of junior team members
• Comply with workplace health and safety obligations, company policies and professional standards
• Participate in ongoing learning, training and professional development opportunities
• Undertake other duties reasonably related to the role as required

Qualifications and Experience

Essential

• Completed a degree qualification with a major in Accounting
• Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification or intention to commence or currently undertaking CA studies
• Minimum 3 years experience in a public practice accounting role

Desirable

• Experience supervising or mentoring junior staff
• Experience managing a diverse client portfolio
