Job Description

We are actively looking for an enthusiastic and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Health Information Services Clerk. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of Health Information Services, directly supporting patient care through a range of clerical and administrative tasks.

The team operates Monday to Friday undertaking a variety of clerical roles with shifts between the hours of 7.00am and 6.00pm.Reporting to the Health Information Manager and working under the HIS Clerical Supervisor, you will be part of a highly regarded and supportive clerical team.Collaborating with a large team of clinical coders, Health Information Officer and Privacy Officer is an integral part of the role.

Have the capability to effectively support and meet the needs of a variety of customers, patients and staff.

Be a positive, responsible, self-motivated person with excellent people and telephone skills.Have a strong focus on detail, highly developed relationship skills, a commitment to customer services, and above all, solid understanding of and commitment to patient confidentiality and privacy.Undertake duties as part of a team, working collaboratively and sharing roles and responsibilities.Be able to cope with the physical demands of the role.Have strong computer skills, including MS office.Have good written and verbal communication skills.

Remuneration

$35.85 - $39.96 + superannuation based on experience level and qualifications, exclusive of penalties or allowances.
