About the Role:

We’re looking for passionate and skilled Social Workers to join our North Canberra Hospital team on a casual basis. Whether you're working in the Commonwealth, State or Territory Government sector or in the not for profit or community sector, this is an opportunity to be part of a dedicated social work team and to contribute meaningfully in a dynamic, supportive environment.
As a Senior Social Worker, you will provide assessment, therapeutic intervention, education, advocacy, and care coordination for patients experiencing complex psychosocial challenges, including family violence, homelessness, child protection concerns, mental ill health, trauma, bereavement, and cultural complexity. Working alongside a supportive multidisciplinary team, you will contribute to safe, timely, and compassionate care while helping to shape service improvements and support the development of future practitioners.

Please note prior to commencement successful candidates will be required to:

Undergo a pre-employment National Police Check.

Prior to commencing this role, a current registration issued under the Working with Vulnerable People (Background Checking) Act 2011 is required.
•
Comply with Canberra Health Services Occupational Assessment, Screening and Vaccination policy.
•
Comply with CHS credentialing and scope of clinical practice requirements for allied health professionals.
