Fleet Coordinator

FLEET CONTROLLER / TRANSPORT MANAGER WANTED

Join a growing powdercoating business and take charge of our transport operations.

We are looking for an experienced, reliable and motivated Fleet Controller / Transport Manager to oversee the day-to-day running of our small trucking operation, which operates as part of an established powdercoating business.

This is a hands-on role for someone who knows the transport industry, can keep trucks and drivers moving efficiently, and is confident taking responsibility for the transport side of the business.

The Role:

You will be responsible for managing and coordinating our fleet to support the powder-coating operation, including:

• Coordinating trucks, drivers and daily deliveries
• Organising collections and deliveries of powder-coated products
• Scheduling transport around production requirements
• Liaising with customers, suppliers, drivers and the workshop
• Planning efficient runs and routes
• Keeping jobs on schedule and ensuring customers are serviced reliably
• Coordinating servicing, maintenance and repairs
• Managing transport paperwork and compliance
• Managing and communicating with drivers
• Monitoring transport costs and helping improve efficiency
• Identifying opportunities to improve and grow the transport operation

Who we're looking for

Whilst having experience in fleet control or transport management is idea, it is not a dealbreaker, just someone who is comfortable taking ownership of the day-to-day transport side of the business.

You will need to be:

• Organised and reliable
• A confident communicator
• Able to work independently
• Good at problem-solving and thinking on your feet
• Comfortable managing drivers and coordinating with a busy production environment
• Familiar with transport compliance, safety and vehicle maintenance
• Commercially minded and interested in improving the operation

Pay: $65,000.00 – $70,000.00 per year
