Traffic Controller - TC + BWTM / WTM

DFS Traffic Management are looking for Traffic Controllers (TC + BWTM / WTM) based at our WANGARA Depot to support Northern contracts.

What you'll be responsible for

• Working on secure long term contracts, performing all tasks associated with traffic management for works and/or events

• Implement and monitor Traffic Management Plans

• Complete vehicle pre-start checks

• Load and unload vehicles with signage and equipment

• Complete site hazard assessments and implement control measures to suit the site

• Report on site hazards and near misses

• Monitor traffic behaviour and or flow to ensure safety is maintained at all times

• Control traffic, pedestrians and cyclists to protect workers, work crews and members of the public

What you'll need to be successful

• Main Roads WA Certification

• Experience working as a Traffic Controller; Crew Leader experience desirable 

• Construction White Card

• C Class Drivers licence; Manual licence desirable but not required

• Ability to work independently and within a team environment

• Effective Communication

• Punctuality and reliability

• Ability to pass fitness for work testing including drug & alcohol if required
