About The Opportunity
Murrumbidgee Local Health District (MLHD) is seeking an organised and reliable Operating Theatre Storesperson to join the perioperative team at Wagga Wagga Base Hospital.
In this role, you will effectively and efficiently maintain stock levels and receipting management in the perioperative environment. This includes maintaining inventory levels of sterile and non-sterile consumables through electronic ordering and receiving processes, ensuring stock is available to meet the demands of the unit and support optimal patient care in collaboration with the Nurse Unit Managers, Nurse Manager and Perioperative Staff.
As The Operating Theatre Storesperson, You Will
Manage back orders and communicate issues to the Nurse Unit Manager or delegate and relevant personnelEnsure rotation of sterile stock is undertaken routinely, removing expired or affected stockUndertake daily restocking of consumables to meet the demands of the unitOrder supplies for specialties in consultation with Clinical Nurse SpecialistsManage deliveries, ensure stock integrity and report any identified risks or compromised itemsAssist in stock take and undertake quality activities and audits as requiredApply infection control principles in the management of sterile and non-sterile stock itemsProvide cost effective management of consumables within the perioperative environment

About You
Our ideal candidate will demonstrate:
Demonstrated experience and ability to manage inventory control and/or resource management in a healthcare environment, including tracking and receipting purchase orders and monitoring time critical stock levelsDemonstrated competency in computer ordering and stock management systemsDemonstrated ability to communicate with a wide range of stakeholders, including a high standard of written communication skillsExperience working within a team environment, including the ability to work independently and with minimal supervisionDemonstrated organisational skills and experience working in a demanding, ever-changing environment with the capacity to meet demands and achieve results
