About the Role
The Digital Communications Associate is responsible for supporting and enhancing AWC's digital presence through effective website management, digital performance analysis, and the identification of emerging technologies and opportunities. The role ensures AWC's website remains functional, engaging and aligned with organisational objectives, while providing insights and recommendations that improve audience engagement, fundraising outcomes and communications effectiveness. Working closely with internal stakeholders and external digital partners, the position contributes to the delivery of integrated storytelling, digital fundraising initiatives and continuous digital innovation that supports AWC's conservation mission.

• Continuous improvement: A practical improvement mindset, identifying recurring process issues and translating these into useful checklists, guidance, training and workflow improvements. .
• Professional working relationships: demonstrated experience working respectfully and professionally with others, including in diverse, remote or high risk environments
• Conservation commitment: A genuine interest in AWC's conservation purpose and willingness to work collaboratively in support of that purpose.
• Stakeholder engagement and collaboration: Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively as part of a small team and collaborate with a diverse range of stakeholders to achieve shared outcomes.
• Digital knowledge and curiosity: Ability to remain informed about emerging digital technologies, industry trends and best practice, and apply this knowledge to improve digital performance and organisational capability.
• Digital content and software capability: Experience using, or the ability to quickly acquire proficiency in, relevant digital and creative platforms including Drupal, Salesforce, Google Analytics, Canva, Adobe InDesign, Adobe Premiere and Monday.com.
• Organisation and prioritisation: Excellent organisational skills with a demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities, coordinate multiple tasks and deliver outcomes within agreed timeframes.
• Digital solution delivery: Ability to understand organisational requirements, translate business needs into digital solutions, and effectively brief and manage digital agencies, web developers and other technical service providers.
• Initiative and work ethic: Demonstrated commitment to delivering high-quality outcomes, with a proactive approach to problem solving and continuous improvement.
• Creativity and innovation: Creative flair and the ability to identify, develop and implement engaging digital solutions that support communications, engagement and fundraising objectives.
• Independence and accountability: Ability to work both collaboratively and autonomously, exercising sound judgement and taking responsibility for delivering outcomes
Qualifications
• Relevant tertiary qualification in digital communications, marketing, communications, information technology, web development, multimedia, or a related discipline; or equivalent demonstrated experience.
Licenses, Certificates and/or Training
• Legal right to work in Australia.
