Mobile Crane Technician

About the role

Complete Fleet Maintenance is a family-owned business specialising in servicing, inspecting and repairing mobile cranes and specialist lifting equipment. We're seeking a Crane & Mobile Plant Technician to join our team. This role includes workshop servicing, field service, inspections, breakdowns, major mechanical overhauls, and hydraulic/electrical repairs. Flexibility for regional/remote work and weekend/afterhours rostering.

Key responsibilities

• Service and maintain mobile/crawler/VLC cranes

• Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic and electrical faults

• Perform hydraulic repairs, installations and testing

• Electrical circuit fault finding and repair

• Mechanical fitting and component replacement

• Conduct on site servicing and breakdowns

• Build strong customer relationships

• Complete accurate service reports and job documentation

About you

• Mechanical trade qualification (Mobile Plant Mechanic, Fitter & Turner, Heavy Diesel Mechanic)

• Current driver's licence

• White Card, HR, forklift or crane licence (highly favoured)

• Flexibility to travel, work overtime and weekends when required

• Works independently and within a small team

• Strong attention to detail

• Practical problem solver

Experience

• Mobile crane experience (highly regarded)

• Heavy diesel repairs and maintenance

• Engine, hydraulic and mechanical fault diagnosis

• Electrical troubleshooting

• Mobile plant equipment experience (advantageous)
