Client Services & Administration Support

Essendon | Accounting Firm | Flexible Working hours | 25–38 Hours Per Week

This is an administration support role – not an accounting role

We are looking for an experienced Client Services & Administration Support team member to join our growing accounting firm in Essendon.

This role will suit someone who has previously worked in an accounting firm, is confident using Xero and enjoys providing hands-on administrative support to accountants and clients.

To be considered, you MUST have:

• Previous experience working in an accounting firm

• Strong hands-on Xero experience

These two requirements are essential.

About the role

You will provide day-to-day administration support to our accountants and directors and help ensure client work is processed efficiently.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Answering incoming phone calls and emails

• Greeting clients and assisting with general enquiries

• Client onboarding and setting up new client records

• Preparing engagement letters and client documentation

• Updating client details and records

• Collating and sending documents to clients for signing

• Invoicing using Xero Practice Manager

• Liaising with the ATO

• Preparing and sending client correspondence

• Scheduling appointments and meetings

• Assisting with general workflow and administration

• General office support as required

About you

You MUST have:

• Previous administration in an Australian Accounting Firm

• Strong Xero Practice Manager experience – essential

• An understanding of how an accounting firm operates

• Excellent organisational skills

• Strong attention to detail

• Confidence dealing directly with clients

• Good written and verbal communication skills

• The ability to manage multiple tasks and follow-ups

• A proactive approach and willingness to help

• Strong general computer and administration skills

• A friendly and professional manner

• A graduate accountant position

• A bookkeeping position

• A practice management position
