Description Of The Role
We're seeking an experienced Audit Manager to join our Melbourne Audit & Assurance team. Reporting to a Partner, you'll play a key leadership role in delivering high-quality audit engagements, managing client relationships, and developing a high-performing team.
As an Audit Manager, you'll oversee audit engagements from planning through to completion, provide technical guidance to team members, review work for quality and accuracy, and help drive exceptional client outcomes. You will also contribute to the growth and development of your team through coaching, mentoring and performance management while building trusted relationships with clients and stakeholders.
What Makes You 'Just Right'?
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related discipline. CA or CPA qualified. At least 5 years' experience within Audit & Assurance or a similar professional services environment. Demonstrated experience reviewing work, delegating tasks and providing coaching and constructive feedback. Strong technical audit and financial reporting knowledge. Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to build strong stakeholder relationships. High attention to detail, analytical thinking and problem-solving capability. Commercially minded with the ability to see the bigger picture for clients. Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively. A collaborative team player who lives the William Buck CARE values.
What Your Day Might Look Like
Leading and managing audit engagements, ensuring quality, efficiency and compliance with professional standards. Reviewing audit files, engagement letters and audit reports before Partner review. Managing key client relationships, proactively seeking feedback and delivering exceptional service. Coaching, mentoring and developing team members through formal and informal feedback. Monitoring team workloads, productivity and resource planning. Supporting learning and development initiatives, technical training and mentoring programs. Working closely with Partners and senior leaders to identify opportunities to add value for clients.
