Pet Groomer Wanted

About the role

You will be responsible for providing professional grooming services while ensuring every dog receives safe, gentle and attentive care.

Key responsibilities

• Full grooming, clipping and styling for a variety of dog breeds

• Bathing, blow-drying, brushing and de-shedding

• Nail trimming, ear cleaning and general coat care

• Assessing coat and skin condition before grooming

• Discussing grooming requirements with customers

• Providing recommendations based on the dog's breed, coat condition and lifestyle

• Maintaining a clean, hygienic and organised grooming area

• Cleaning and sanitising grooming equipment between appointments

• Handling dogs safely and calmly throughout the grooming process

• Monitoring dogs for signs of stress or discomfort

About you

• Previous professional dog grooming experience

• Confident completing full grooms independently

• Good knowledge of different breeds, coat types and grooming techniques

• Strong animal handling skills

• Patient, gentle and comfortable working with dogs of different sizes and temperaments

• Reliable, responsible and punctual

• Good communication and customer service skills

• Ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene

• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
