About The Role
The Growth Bets team is where Uber tests and scales bold new ideas, taking products from 0 to 1, then 1 to 100. From launching new account types for teenagers and seniors, to reimagining shared rides with Uber Pool, or piloting offerings for families or business travelers, we move fast to identify, test, and scale what's next.
As a Strategy and Operations Manager, you'll be the engine behind these launches in ANZ. You will own initiatives end-to-end, from problem definition and business case development to execution and post-launch optimisation - partnering with stakeholders across product, operations, marketing, and finance.
This role is ideal for someone with experience in strategy, consulting or investment banking who wants to be closer to execution in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment. You'll apply your analytical toolkit in a dynamic, operator-led role where you'll see the tangible results of your work.
What You'll Do
Own new and/or existing product(s) within the Growth Bets portfolio, with full accountability for customer experience, P&L performance, and promotional budgets
Design and run experiments to test new opportunities, then build and execute go-to-market plans for launches and campaigns Partner with global product and operations teams to tailor solutions for the ANZ market Drive cross-functional collaboration, ensuring priorities are delivered through strong project management and influence
What You'll Need
University degree in a quantitative field, such as Economics, Statistics, Finance, Business/Commerce, Social Science, IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience Minimum 3 years of professional experience in strategy consulting, investment banking or similar roles. Experience in high-growth startups is a plus. Strong analytical skills and structured problem solving: you are naturally curious and are motivated by solving problems, however complicated or ambiguous they may be. You have the ability to break down complex problems by applying structure and using data-driven insights, leveraging your strong Excel/Sheets skills (SQL proficiency preferred), and comfortable with making your own assumptions when there is no clear answer Product sense: You know what makes a product experience not just good, but amazing. You work cross-functionally with teams to create integrations that delight users and drive measurable impact Entrepreneurial mindset: hands-on, resourceful, adaptable, with the ability to prioritise for impact and work in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment Excellent communication skills, with the ability to make insights clear and compelling and to influence cross-functional and global teams. Experience representing your company externally with partners, clients, or stakeholders Familiarity with product experimentation and growth-stage environments
