At Central Coast Local Health District (CCLHD), we are committed to Trusted Care, Better Health for Everyone, and we are looking for a dedicated Occupational Therapist Level 1/2 to be an essential part of our Community Allied Health team.
The position of Occupational Therapy is part of a community-based multidisciplinary allied health team. Community Allied Health (CAH) provides service to a broad and diverse range of clients, including (but not limited to) those with neurological conditions, age related functional difficulties, progressive conditions and chronic diseases such as Diabetes, Respiratory, Heart Failure and Cardiac diseases. The Occupational Therapist may also provide clinical service in specialist teams and environments, such as Specialist Pallitiave Care Service.
The role of the Occupational Therapist is to deliver high quality, evidence-led assessments and interventions as part of the allied health team. In this role you will:
Provide assessments and interventions as part of group education programs at community centres as well as home visits.
Demonstrate collaboration in working as part of a multi-disciplinary team, as well as proactively working effectively with Allied Health Assistants, to ensure effective, timely and appropriate client-focussed care.
Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team to promote a supportive environment.
About You
We are looking for someone who has:
Demonstrated clinical experience in delivering high quality occupational therapy services to clients experiencing a broad range of chronic illness, in community contexts.
Proven effective caseload management, excellent written and verbal communication skills, time management and organisational skills.
Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team.

Vaccination Requirements

Category A positions: Mandatory evidence of protection against specified infectious diseases, including annual influenza vaccination and tuberculosis assessment.

NSW Health strongly recommends all workers stay up to date with COVID-19 vaccinations as per the Australian Technical Advisory Group on Immunisation guidelines. However, COVID-19 vaccination is not a condition of employment.
