Salary: $90,000 – $100,000 per year + super, + bonuses. Negotiable on experience.

Victorian Playground Installations started in 1999 as one bloke with a trailer, J. Sharp Paving and Landscaping. The first playground job came in 2007, and by 2023 there was enough of it to stand on its own. These days we're a small, tight crew of installers, landscapers and inspectors building and maintaining commercial playgrounds, natural playspaces, fitness equipment and soft fall surfaces for schools, councils and businesses across Victoria and Australia-wide when the job calls for it.

We're flat out, and Jason (the owner) can't be on every site at once anymore. That's the gap we need filled.

The Role

We need someone who can walk onto a site, run it like it's their own, and get the crew home at the end of the day with the job done right, first time. You'll be:

• Leading the install crew on site, day to day

• Turning drawings and scopes of works into an actual plan for the day

• Making sure every job meets AS 4685 and manufacturer specs

• Keeping jobs on schedule and on budget, and flagging it early if they're not

• The first call for the crew when something needs deciding on site, and for Jason when something needs his sign-off

• Mentoring our installers so they come up faster than they would on their own

• Working away from home is common, usually under 5 days.

You'll still be on the tools. This isn't a desk job, it's the next step up from one.

What You'll Bring

• Solid hands-on experience in playground installation, landscaping, carpentry or a similar trade

• Some experience leading a small crew or running a site, even informally

• An eye for detail that doesn't switch off around safety-critical work

• A current driver's licence, WWCC and White Card essential

• Have or willing to obtain Excavator, Skid steer, Working at Heights and EWP tickets

• AS 4685 knowledge is a strong plus, we'll get you fully across it if you're not there yet

• Comfortable enough with apps like Connecteam for job tracking and checklists, or happy to learn
