Geology Technician

AusJobz is currently seeking a Technician – Mine Geology to join a leading mining operation in Western Australia.

This is a great opportunity for someone with geology technician, field-based or mining support experience who enjoys being out in the field and working closely with Mine Geologists and operational teams.

• Roster: 8 days on / 6 days off – days only
• Start: ASAP
• Contract: Through to 10 March 2027
• FIFO: Perth

Working as part of the Mine Geology team, your responsibilities will include:

• Collecting, preparing and recording blast cone, pit and stockpile samples
• Capturing associated geological and production data
• Conducting ore spotting and material redirection activities within the pit
• Supporting ore control monitoring and day-to-day mine geology activities
• Accurately recording, managing and entering geological and production information
• Assisting Mine Geologists to maintain mining hygiene and ore control standards
• Working safely and effectively within an active mining environment

We're interested in hearing from candidates who have:

• Previous experience in a Geology Technician, Field Technician or mining support role – highly regarded
• Exposure to remote site environments and mining operations – preferred
• A current manual C-Class Driver's Licence
• Good Microsoft Office skills
• Strong organisational and time-management skills
• The ability to manage changing priorities in a busy operational environment
• Excellent attention to detail
• A strong commitment to safety
• A genuine interest in mining and working within a technologically advanced operation

This role offers the opportunity to gain valuable hands-on experience within a large-scale mining operation, working directly with Mine Geologists and developing further exposure to sampling, ore control and operational mine geology.
