Floorplan Operations - Dealer Inventory Finance

Company:  Is a mid-western USA based bank, whose operations in Australia are designed to solely to support Inventory finance programs with some of the Bank's global manufacturer or OEM relationships.

The networks of Australian dealers use these lines of credit to finance their inventory holdings of: Recreational vehicles, Motor cycles, Marine engines, Boats, Jet skis, Caravans and a range of other assets.


Opportunity:  Working for a big global company on a type of corporate credit facility, similar to Debtor/invoice finance, which you will become an expert in.  


Role: Reports to the global operations manager, who is based in Chicago (USA).  The role will be one of two people responsible to administer these lines of credit, for dealerships based in Australia and New Zealand.

These lines of credit are called "Floorplan facilities", they are a form of bailment which allows dealers to buy stock, hold it until sold then pay out the purchase cost.

This means assets are flow; on and off every daily.  Money collected is reconciled against sold assets and new assets are added as the stock is delivered.  Dealers often call with various account enquiries and interest is billed and collected each month.

The facility needs to be monitored for older stock and additional payments need to be collected when aged stock does not turn over.  Audits are also conducted to ensure that sold assets have been paid out, which may need to be followed uo with the dealer.

As you are talking to the dealers on a daily basis.  This role contains a high degree of relationship account management and will have the opportunity to visit dealers, potentially at boat, motorcycle and other trade shows?

The role will assist with preparation of credit reviews and confirming assets to be financed for new dealerships as they come on-board.


Requirements:  We are looking for people with skills and experience showing:

• Commercial finance roles prefer a degree in finance / business / accounting
• Prior experience administering revolving commercial lines of credit, documentation and PPSR
• Good customer service skills to assist in building good customer relationships
