About the Position

Working within our People & Performance team, the WHS Officer provides ongoing support in the implementation of the health & wellbeing program, workers compensation and injury management, incident and hazard reporting system requirements to maintain ongoing Safety Management System compliance and continuous improvements in line with the ISO 45001 principles.

To be successful in this position you will need to demonstrate:

• A recognised qualification in Work Health & Safety or equivalent qualification in relevant health discipline, minimum Cert IV.
• An understanding of the practical application of the Western Australian Work Health & Safety and Workers Compensation and Injury Management legislation and regulatory frameworks.
• Proven organisational, time management and priority setting skills with high attention to detail.
• Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate and work with all levels of employees and a range of external stakeholders.
• Experience working in a WHS role, including safety management systems, injury management and workers compensation.
• A current Western Australian 'C' Class Driver's Licence.
• A current National Police Clearance.

The successful candidate must be able to occasionally start early (approx. 7am) to support various WHS initiatives across the organisation.
