Experienced Vineyard Operator (Coal River Valley, Tasmania)

Fogarty Hall Fine Wine Estates is Australia's most awarded wine producer, with a portfolio of 14 brands across Western Australia, Victoria, New South Wales and Tasmania, and a strategic focus on Margaret River and Tasmania. The group is home to some of the country's most celebrated wine labels, produced from vineyards spanning some of Australia's premier cool- and warm-climate wine regions.

We are seeking a full-time Experienced Vineyard Operator to work alongside our small dedicated onsite team. This is an exciting hands-on role with the opportunity to produce high-quality fruit from our vineyards in the Coal River Valley, Tasmania, for Fogarty Hall Fine Wine Estates.

Duties · Operating tractors, spray equipment, mowers, hedge trimmers and other farm machinery and equipment · Soil preparation, irrigation and trellising · Chemical application · Grape harvesting · Pruning of vines · General maintenance

Skills & Experience · Experience in maintaining tractors, small engines etc. · Chemical accreditation or similar · Knowledge of irrigation systems · Knowledge of pest, disease and weed control · Knowledge of Occupational Health & Safety procedures · Current drivers' licence

Reporting to the Vineyard Supervisor, the successful applicant will be hard working; reliable; self-motivated; have good communication, leadership and presentation skills, and be capable of working autonomously or in a small team.
