About the role

We’re looking for a motivated and energetic Junior Office Assistant to join a growing mortgage broking business based in Ormeau.

This is a great opportunity for someone who is early in their career and wants more than just an administration role. You’ll join a small, supportive and family-focused team, learn the mortgage broking industry from the ground up and have the opportunity to develop into a Mortgage Broker over time.

You don’t need previous experience in mortgages or finance. We’re much more interested in your personality, communication skills, confidence and willingness to learn.

Salary: Up to $60,000 + super, depending on experience.

What you’ll be doing

This is a varied role where no two days will look exactly the same. You’ll be involved in:

• Providing general administration and office support

• Answering phones and communicating with clients

• Data entry and keeping client information and systems up to date

• Following up leads and helping generate appointments

• Supporting the mortgage broker with day-to-day client management

• Creating and posting social media content across TikTok, Instagram and other platforms

• Learning the mortgage broking process and developing your knowledge of the industry

• Building your confidence in client communication, sales and lead generation

We’re open to candidates from a range of backgrounds. You may have experience in administration, retail, hospitality, customer service, sales or another people-focused environment.

• Wants to learn, develop and eventually progress into mortgage broking

You’ll also need to be comfortable dealing with a mature client base and having professional conversations with clients who may be stressed or under pressure. The ability to confidently manage a conversation and build trust will be important.
