To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Previous experience as a Sous Chef or Senior Chef in a busy hospitality venue

• Strong leadership and communication skills

• Experience managing high-volume service periods

• Excellent organisational and time management abilities

• Sound knowledge of food safety and HACCP procedures

• A hands-on approach and strong work ethic

• Trade qualifications in Commercial Cookery

• Full Australian working rights

Working closely with the Head Chef, you will play a key role in the day-to-day operation of our kitchen. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Sous Chef who enjoys leading from the front and takes pride in delivering quality food and consistent service.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Assisting with daily kitchen operations and service periods

• Leading the kitchen team in the Head Chef's absence

• Ensuring consistent food quality and presentation standards

• Assisting with menu development and seasonal specials

• Managing stock control, ordering, and waste minimisation

• Maintaining food safety and workplace health and safety standards

• Training, mentoring, and supporting junior kitchen staff

• Contributing to a positive and professional team culture
