Associate Director-Business Advisory & Tax

About the role

Working directly with the Principal and alongside highly experienced professionals, you will manage key client relationships, oversee compliance and advisory engagements and support the development of our accounting team. The role offers considerable autonomy, meaningful client contact and exposure to a diverse range of taxation, accounting and business advisory matters.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of private businesses, family groups and high-net-worth clients.
• Review financial statements, income tax returns, BAS, FBT and tax-planning work.
• Provide clear, practical advice on business structures, trusts, Division 7A, CGT and GST.
• Identify taxation risks and broader strategic and business advisory opportunities.
• Manage engagements, workflow, deadlines and budgets.
• Coach and support accountants and senior accountants.
• Work with the Principal and other experienced professionals on complex taxation, restructuring and commercial matters.

About you

• Substantial Australian public-practice experience in business advisory and taxation.
• Confidence to manage client relationships and review the work of others.
• Technically capable, commercially minded and well organised.
• Commitment to accurate, responsive and practical client service.
