Food Technologies and Childcare Teacher – Fixed Term 2027 (1.0FTE)

Our Childcare to Year 12 College is a nurturing community that celebrates individuality and fosters ambition, confidence, and overall wellbeing in our students. We are currently seeking a Food Technologies and Childcare Teacher committed to working in an inclusive and diverse school where every child is nurtured, encouraged and inspired.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver engaging, high-quality teaching and learning programs in Food Technologies and Childcare that inspire and challenge students.
Plan, assess and differentiate learning to support the individual needs and maximise the progress of all students.
Develop and deliver contemporary, practical curriculum aligned with the Western Australian Curriculum, VET qualifications and WACE requirements.
Create and maintain a safe, inclusive and positive learning environment, including the safe use and management of specialist equipment, materials and facilities.
Work collaboratively with colleagues, students and families to support student learning, wellbeing and positive educational outcomes.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Demonstrated experience and/or expertise teaching Food Technologies and Childcare, preferably across the secondary years.
Certificate IV in Training and Assessing (40116) or a VET Assessor Sills Set or equivalent.
The ability to deliver the Certificate II in Community Services.
Sound knowledge and understanding of the Western Australian Curriculum and relevant WACE and VET courses.
Demonstrated ability to deliver engaging practical and theoretical learning programs, including effective assessment and differentiation to meet diverse student needs.
Knowledge of and commitment to safe work practices, including the safe use, handling and storage of equipment, materials and food in practical learning environments.
Strong organisational, communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues and families.
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a teaching team and contribute positively to curriculum development and College initiatives.
A commitment to child safety, student wellbeing and ongoing professional learning.
Passion for fostering creativity and critical thinking in students.
Eligible for TRBWA registration and a Working with Children Check.
