HC/MC Interstate Driver

About the role

Eastcoast Furniture Transport is seeking an experienced Heavy Combination (HC) or Multi Combination (MC) licensed driver to join our team of interstate freight specialists. As an HC/MC Interstate Driver, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of furniture and homewares across state lines, with a focus on providing exceptional customer service. This full-time role is based in Cranbourne, Victoria.

What you'll be doing

1. Safely operate HC or MC vehicles on long-haul interstate journeys, adhering to all relevant road transport regulations

2. Load, unload and secure freight in a timely and careful manner

3. Maintain detailed delivery records and provide excellent customer service to clients

4. Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness

5. Liaise with the dispatch team to optimise delivery schedules and routes

6. Work collaboratively with the wider logistics team to contribute to the overall success of the business

What we're looking for

1. Current HC or MC driver's licence with an exemplary driving record

2. Minimum 2 years' experience driving heavy vehicles interstate

3. Sound knowledge of road transport regulations and safety procedures

4. Excellent customer service skills and the ability to problem solve effectively

5. Strong organisational and time management abilities

6. Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends, as required
