About the Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Project Data Lead to join our national People Systems, Data & Performance team on a full-time maximum-term contract.

This is a unique opportunity to play a critical role in one of SVHA's largest workforce and payroll transformation programs. As the subject matter expert for workforce, payroll and reporting data, you will provide leadership across the design, integration, migration and expansion of the UKG Pro and Frontier iChris ecosystem.

Working at the intersection of people, technology, payroll, finance and analytics, you will ensure data integrity, reporting accuracy and seamless integration across multiple systems and business units. You will partner with stakeholders across the organisation and external vendors to support successful implementation, testing, deployment and ongoing optimisation of workforce systems.

This role can be based in Sydney, or Brisbane with flexible hybrid working arrangements available.

Your Key Responsibilities

As the Project Data Lead, you will:

• Lead data governance, migration, reconciliation and validation activities across workforce, payroll and finance systems.
• Act as the subject matter expert for workforce and payroll data, supporting the expansion of the UKG Pro and Frontier iChris environment.
• Translate business requirements into data models, mappings, calculations, reporting specifications and integration requirements.
• Define and maintain data definitions, transformation logic, reference codes and reporting standards to ensure consistency across the organisation.
• Analyse and document end-to-end data flows between workforce management, payroll, finance and enterprise systems.
• Partner with People & Culture, Payroll, Finance, Data & Analytics and Digital & Technology teams to deliver reporting and analytics capabilities.
• Collaborate with external vendors including UKG, Frontier and implementation partners to deliver data solutions, integrations and reporting outcomes.
• Lead stakeholder workshops, UAT support and business consultation activities to ensure successful adoption and delivery.
• Identify data quality, governance and process improvement opportunities and drive practical solutions.
• Manage project dependencies, risks, timelines and escalations across multiple workstreams.
• Develop reusable reporting tools, templates and artefacts to support efficient project delivery and ongoing operational support.
• Support capability uplift and knowledge transfer across internal teams.

About You

You are an experienced data professional with a strong background in workforce, payroll and enterprise systems. You have a proven ability to bridge business and technical teams, translating complex requirements into practical solutions that deliver measurable outcomes.

You thrive in large-scale transformation environments and enjoy working collaboratively with stakeholders to improve processes, strengthen data integrity and enable better decision-making.

You bring a consultative approach, exceptional stakeholder management capability and a passion for using data to drive organisational success.

You Will Bring

• Tertiary qualification in Data Analytics, Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, Finance or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
• Demonstrated experience leading data and reporting workstreams within large-scale HRIS, Workforce Management and Payroll implementation programs.
• Strong experience gathering requirements and translating business needs into data definitions, mappings, integrations and reporting solutions.
• Deep understanding of data migration, reconciliation, transformation logic, testing methodologies and data quality management.
• Practical experience with analytics and reporting tools including Power BI, SQL and advanced Excel modelling.
• Experience designing and supporting data pipelines, integrations and ETL/ELT processes.
• Strong understanding of workforce, payroll and finance data, including cost centres, costing structures and reconciliation requirements.
• Proven ability to work effectively with internal stakeholders, senior leaders, project teams and external vendors.
• Exceptional documentation skills, including mapping specifications, decision logs, governance artefacts and issue registers.
• Strong project delivery capability with experience managing dependencies, competing priorities and tight deadlines.
• High-level communication, facilitation and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check (or willingness to obtain).

Highly Regarded

• Experience with UKG Pro/Kronos, Frontier iChris, Workday and/or ADP.
• Certifications in UKG, Workday Reporting & Integrations, Power BI, SQL/Data Engineering or Agile methodologies.
• Previous experience within healthcare, aged care or another complex enterprise environment.
• Experience supporting enterprise reporting, workforce analytics and finance system integrations.
