Yass and Murrumbateman Veterinary – Full-time Veterinarian

We have a unique opportunity for a full-time vet to join our team and expand their veterinary skills and knowledge, with exceptional mentorship available in house.

We have two purpose-built hospitals which are located 15 mins apart. Our primary hospital is situated in the progressive town of Yass & the other hospital is in the scenic winery region of Murrumbateman. We are located on the doorstep of Canberra, 2 hours from the coast, and 3 hours to the ski slopes & Sydney. 

Our team consist of 10 Vets, 1 PM, 11 Veterinary Nurses, 6 Admin Staff and 4 Kennel hands. Overall, we have combined total of 85 years of veterinary expertise.  

As a veterinary employee you will be very well supported. We have a dedicated nurse to each vet, with numerous other ancillary staff rostered to allow the best standard of care for our patients and the wellbeing of all staff.  We refer to specialists and referral hospitals in Canberra, Wagga & Sydney.

Both clinics are resourced exceptionally well, each with:

• EzyVet Practice management system
• Full Idexx laboratory facilities
• Dental machine & digital dental X-ray
• Powerfloats for horse dentals
• DR X-ray,

• Ultrasound machines
• Orthopaedics
• Large animal treatment facilities (Crush, trot up track, stables and treatment paddocks).

On call is evenly shared and all afterhours calls assessed through an afterhours triaging service.

Our organisation is CSU Wagga affiliated rural practice for CSU students completing their rural and mixed practice rotations.
