We are on the lookout for a Senior VP Aviation Growth & Business Development to lead Perth Airport’s aviation growth strategy and strengthen our position as Australia’s Western Hub. This leadership role will drive airline partnerships, route development, market expansion and global advocacy, helping deliver sustainable passenger growth, stronger connectivity and lasting economic benefits for Western Australia.
 

About the Role

• Lead Perth Airport’s aviation growth strategy to secure new international, domestic and regional air services that support long term commercial success.

• Build compelling business cases using market intelligence, passenger insights, economic analysis and tourism demand data to attract airline investment.

• Develop and maintain executive level relationships with airline leaders, network planning teams, government stakeholders, tourism organisations and industry bodies.

• Negotiate strategic commercial partnerships, route development initiatives and aviation investment programs that deliver measurable outcomes.

• Drive demand generation strategies that maximise passenger growth, strengthen route performance and support tourism and trade opportunities.

• Provide strategic aviation insights and recommendations to the Executive Leadership Team and Board on market opportunities, risks and future trends.

• Represent Perth Airport at key national and international aviation forums, strengthening our reputation as a leading global aviation gateway.

• Lead and develop a high performing team while fostering collaboration across commercial, operational, finance, marketing and infrastructure functions.

About You

• Tertiary qualifications in aviation, commerce or a related discipline, supported by extensive senior leadership experience across aviation, airports, airlines, tourism or comparable commercial sectors.

• Strong commercial acumen with deep knowledge of airline strategy, network planning, aviation economics and route development.

• Proven success negotiating complex commercial agreements and securing high value partnerships that deliver sustainable growth outcomes.

• Exceptional communication, presentation and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence and build credibility at executive and government levels.

• A strategic thinker who identifies emerging opportunities, develops innovative solutions and translates market insights into long term business growth.

• Highly skilled in analysing aviation data, passenger trends, market intelligence and forecasting information to support investment and business decisions.

• An accomplished relationship builder who can confidently navigate international business environments and foster partnerships across diverse stakeholder groups.

• A collaborative and influential leader who can negotiate effectively, balance competing priorities and achieve outcomes while maintaining strong relationships.

• Comfortable representing an organisation at high profile industry events, government engagements and international forums with professionalism and authority.
