QA/QC Inspector

KAEFER is seeking a dedicated Darwin-based QA/QC Inspector to join our team in NT. This strategic role will be responsible for ensuring the quality and compliance of coating/welding processes and procedures.

Key Responsibilities
• Conducting thorough inspections and testing of welding activities to verify adherence to industry standards and client specifications
• Developing and implementing quality control plans and procedures to identify and address welding defects
• Collaborating with project managers, engineers, and welders to resolve quality issues and improve welding processes
• Maintaining detailed records and documentation of all quality control activities
• Providing training and guidance to welders to enhance their skills and knowledge
• Staying up to date with the latest welding regulations, codes, and best practices

About You
• Min. 3years experience as a QA/QC Inspector working on projects in mining, heavy industry or fixed plant maintenance demonstrating a strong track record of successful quality assurance
• NACE 2 ticket
• Senior Welding Inspector Ticket
• Experience using and understanding the requirements of auditing and Quality Systems (ISO 9001:2008 / AS 4801:2001)
• Experience performing multi-disciplinary inspections, interpreting isometric drawings, investigating non-conformances/discrepancies and implementing correct actions.
• Able to understand technical information and design drawings
