Store Person

About the role

Hemi Performance is seeking a Store Person to join our team on a part-time basis. Based at our facility in Tweed Heads West, NSW 2485, this role is fundamental to our warehouse and logistics operations. As a Store Person, you will be responsible for the receipt, storage, picking and packing of products, ensuring that our inventory is well-organised, accurately tracked and dispatched to customers efficiently. This position plays a crucial role in maintaining our operational excellence and customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Receiving and unloading incoming stock, verifying quantities and checking for damage or discrepancies

• Accurately picking orders from warehouse shelves and storage areas according to picking lists or computer systems

• Packing items securely and carefully into boxes or containers, ensuring products are protected during transit

• Applying labels and documentation to packages, including addresses and tracking information

• Organising and maintaining warehouse shelving and storage areas to optimise space and accessibility

• Conducting regular stock counts and maintaining accurate inventory records

• Operating warehouse equipment such as forklifts or pallet jacks (where applicable and trained)

• Maintaining a clean, safe and organised work environment, adhering to health and safety standards

• Supporting the dispatch of orders to ensure timely delivery to customers

What we're looking for

• Previous experience in warehouse, storage or packing operations is highly desirable

• Demonstrated ability to pick and pack items accurately and efficiently

• Physical capability to lift and move items regularly, with excellent stamina for fast-paced environments

• Attention to detail, particularly when handling orders and inventory records

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Familiarity with warehouse management systems or stock control software is advantageous

• Reliable, punctual and committed to maintaining high standards of work

• Valid driver's licence and willingness to undertake forklift certification or other relevant training would be beneficial

• Strong organisational and time management skills
