Store Manager

The House of Golf is a Melbourne born golf retail experience. The House of Golf provides an amazing opportunity for golfing enthusiasts to work with a retailer specialising in club fitting, apparel, bags, balls, buggies, and much more. As a group we believe in big ideas and have the ability to implement them. Our online and retail stores strive to exemplify the latest in cutting-edge products and trends. Our ambition is to provide golf enthusiasts with an atmosphere of extensive product choice and access to inside product knowledge by people who participate in the sport.

We are seeking a Store Manager for our Mentone Store. This individual is a strong leader integral to a location’s success, charismatic, people-oriented, time efficient and demonstrates proficiency in customer service and administration.

Responsibilities include the following:
 Hire, manage and train staff.
 Set and manage above-and-beyond service standards for all staff
 Actively evaluate staff performance to ensure day-to-day business needs are met

 Maintain strict administrative and reporting processes
 Cultivate meaningful relationships with Customers
 Maintain extensive knowledge of all of our products, business lines and promotions
 Maintain and introduce golf-specific offerings; achieve quarterly revenue targets
 Build relationships within the community and engage in local marketing efforts
 Drive revenue through attendance at high value events, league nights, tournaments, and
other initiatives

Required Qualifications:
 Management experience in a retail environment.
 Strong leadership ability and willingness to lead by example.
 Exemplary communication, time management and organization skills
 Social and interpersonal skills required to cultivate meaningful relationships.
 Proficiency in golf technology and trends.
 Upbeat energy and enthusiasm and a positive attitude.
 Ability to think on your feet and manage customer expectations.
 Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
 Availability to be present on the sales floor at high value times.
