Business Development Manager

Pneumatics Direct is locally owned and operated in W.A, however we have a highly experienced sales team and a vast distributor network placed strategically across Australia. Our reputation as a trusted supplier of compressed air equipment has seen Pneumatics Direct work with highly reputable and successful companies across the country.  
 
We are currently seeking a new internal/external sales member to support and grow existing and foster new business activity throughout the engineering, manufacturing and mining sectors. 
 
The Role: 
Reporting to the National Sales Manager you will be responsible for: 

• Growing sales of our compressed air piping system for supply and installation to Western Australia, with current and new customers, through distribution and partnership channels. 
• Working with dedicated installers to ensure installations and projects are completed to customer satisfaction. 
• Liaising with customers, installation team and internal staff to provide turnkey solutions 
• Expediting quotes and answering enquiries through our website lead platform 
• Working with the distributors to develop their sales strategies and improve product turnover for the state 
• Achieving budgeted sales 
• Processing new sales leads and tenders including preparing and sending quotes and quotes follow up 
• Have input into the yearly strategic plan for the territory 
• Present sales results and opportunities to Management during sales consultations and conferences 
• Travel as required to customer sites, 
• Motivate, train and mentor distributors 
• Provide product training to new and existing customers 
• Maintenance and update of own CRM pipeline 

About You: 

• You may be an internal or external salesperson looking to advance your career. 
• Experience with a Mechanical aptitude and the ability to understand technical processes would be highly regarded. 
• Piping sales experience or piping installation experience would be highly regarded. 
• An understanding of Pneumatics and compressed air would be beneficial but not essential 
• A strong desire to convert new business and build strong relationships with customers is required. 
• Working within sales budgets and maintaining profit margins 
• Ability to work within a distributorship market comprising of engineering and manufacturing OEMs would be an advantage 
• Strong interpersonal skills as well as a willingness to learn, show initiative and work hard, with high commitment, self-responsibility and customer orientation 
• Strong focus on solution sales and a consultative sales approach. 
• Excellent time management and organisational skills 
• Ability to work as part of a small team 
• Can help develop sales plans in line with business objectives
