Casa Nova is a growing Italian restaurant group known for warm hospitality, quality food and memorable dining experiences. We are looking for an experienced and motivated Restaurant Manager to lead the daily operations of our Circular Quay venue.
This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on hospitality professional who enjoys leading people, delivering exceptional service and improving restaurant performance.The opportunityAs Restaurant Manager, you will take ownership of the venue’s day-to-day operations while working closely with the Casa Nova leadership team.Your responsibilities will include:Leading and developing the front-of-house team.Maintaining high standards of service, presentation and guest satisfaction.Managing restaurant opening, closing and daily service operations.Preparing staff rosters and ensuring appropriate shift coverage.Monitoring labour costs, sales performance and operational KPIs.Supporting recruitment, onboarding, training and performance management.Managing reservations, floor plans and service flow.Working closely with the kitchen team to ensure smooth communication and consistent food quality.Monitoring stock, ordering, wastage and supplier relationships.Handling customer feedback and resolving service issues professionally.Ensuring compliance with workplace health and safety, food safety and company procedures.Supporting local marketing activities, events and initiatives that increase sales.Preparing regular operational reports for senior management.About youYou will be a confident and capable restaurant leader who can motivate a team while remaining calm and organised during busy services.We are looking for someone with:Previous experience as a Restaurant Manager, Venue Manager, Assistant Manager or Senior Supervisor.Experience managing a busy restaurant, hospitality venue or premium dining environment.Strong leadership and communication skills.Good understanding of rostering, labour control and restaurant financial performance.A genuine passion for hospitality and customer service.The ability to coach, develop and retain team members.Strong organisation and attention to detail.The confidence to make decisions and take ownership.Availability to work a rotating roster, including evenings, weekends and public holidays.Current NSW RSA certification, where required for the role.
Italian restaurant experience is welcome but not essential. We are more interested in your leadership ability, service standards and commitment to achieving excellent results.
