Production Hand - Machine Operator

About the role

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Production Hand - Machine Operator to join our team at Casa Iberica. This is a full-time position based in Yarraville, VIC 3013. In this role, you will be operating manufacturing equipment whilst ensuring products meet our high quality standards. You will play a vital part in our production operations, contributing to the efficient delivery of our products to customers.

Key responsibilities

-Operate basic packing and production equipment as trained.

-Pack products into bags, boxes, cartons, or other packaging.

-Check product quantity, weight, appearance, and packaging quality.

-Repetitive lifting 15-20kg Apply labels, batch numbers, dates, and other required information correctly.

-Assemble and seal cartons for storage or dispatch Follow production schedules and work instructions.

-Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the production and packing areas.

-Follow food safety, workplace health and safety, and company procedures.

-Report damaged products, equipment problems, or quality issues to the supervisor.

-Assist with stock movement and stock supplementation when required.

-Keep work areas and equipment organized.

-Work cooperatively with other production and warehouse team members.

-Perform other reasonable production duties as directed by the supervisor

What we're looking for

-Previous experience in food manufacturing, packing, warehousing, or production is desirable but not essential.

-Ability to follow instructions and procedures.

-Ability to work efficiently as part of a team.

-Reliable and punctual. Hours are 4.30 am till 12.30pm

-Physically capable of standing for extended periods and performing repetitive tasks.

-Ability to lift and move products safely according to workplace requirements.

-Follow all safety and food hygiene requirements.

-Maintain a clean and organized work area.

-Work effectively with the production team.

-Able to lift repetitively 15 -20 kg

-Forklift certification or willingness to obtain certification is advantageous

-Able to work in chiller and freezer environment.

-Has reliable transport
