Pallet and Crate Technician

Job Description:
We are currently seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Pallet and Crate Technician to join our team at a reputable pallet and crate manufacturing company. As a Pallet and Crate Technician, you will be responsible for repairing existing pallets, building new pallets, and constructing shipping crates. A valid forklift license is required for this position or the competence to pass the course paid by us.

Responsibilities:
- Repair damaged pallets by replacing broken boards, reinforcing weak areas, and ensuring structural integrity.
- Build new pallets according to specifications, using various tools and equipment.
- Construct shipping crates to transport goods safely and securely.
- Follow blueprints, diagrams, or verbal instructions to assemble pallets and crates.
- Operate a forklift to move materials and finished products.
- Ensure all pallets and crates meet quality standards and customer requirements.
- Perform routine maintenance on tools and equipment to ensure proper functioning.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Adhere to safety guidelines and procedures at all times.

Requirements:
- Valid forklift license is a must.
- Previous experience in repairing pallets and building crates is preferred Or construction experience
- Proficient in using hand and power tools.
- Ability to read and interpret diagrams.
- Strong attention to detail and quality craftsmanship.
- Physical stamina to perform manual labor and lift heavy objects.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work in different shifts, including weekends and overtime when necessary.
- Must hold Australian citizenship, permanent residency, or possess a valid work visa authorising employment in Australia.
