Veterinary Receptionist

About the role

WestVETS Animal Hospital Anstead is a busy, well-equipped small animal and equine practice located in Brisbane's western suburbs. This is a fast-paced and rewarding role where no two days are the same. From welcoming clients and their pets to managing appointments, answering phones and supporting our veterinary team, you'll be an important part of the WestVETS experience.

Key responsibilities

• Providing a warm and professional welcome to our clients and their animals

• Delivering exceptional customer service with empathy and compassion

• Managing appointments and a high volume of phone & email enquiries

• Processing payments and maintaining accurate client records

• Supporting the veterinary and nursing teams

• Helping ensure the smooth day-to-day running of our busy practice

About you

• Previous reception or customer service experience is essential

• Experience within a veterinary or medical environment, including familiarity with Vision Software, would be highly regarded, but is not essential

Position Details

• Full-time position – 38 hours per week

• Based at WestVETS Animal Hospital, Anstead

• Some Saturday work is required, generally one half-day per month

• Employment conditions and remuneration are in accordance with the Animal Care and Veterinary Services Award

• Remuneration will be commensurate with experience, with consideration given to relevant skills and previous experience

• Immediate start available for the right candidate
